He is survived by: his daughter Cathy Vanderford; his son-in-law Bill Vanderford of Gastonia; his sons, Gary (Karen Shaw) and Mitchell (Sherri Shaw); his siblings, Ruth Moore of Whitsett, Glenn Shaw, Alma Lou Shaw of Gastonia, John Shaw and Helen Shaw of Burlington; and his grandchildren, Matthew Shaw (Meena, B. J. Vanderford), Allison Shaw, Jordan Vanderford, Wesley Shaw and Harrison Shaw.
