He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Joe and Wilma Louise Gambill Mahala; and his grandparents, Leonard, Ruby Mahala, Roy and Bonnie Gambill.
He is survived by: his sister Sherrie Mahala of Creston; his niece Destiney Cummings of Creston; his nephews, Matthew Sturgill (Allison Holman) of Creston, Billy Arnold of West Jefferson and Zachary Graybeal of Creston; his great-niece Alyvia Sturgill; his great-nephew Hunter Sturgill; his uncle Glen Gambill (Shirley) of Creston; and his aunt Pearl Osborne (Ray) of Mountain City.
