He was predeceased by: his father Tibbie Burress Powell; and his brother Hugh Powell. He is survived by: his wife Gail Kirkpatrick Powell; his daughter Holly (Tim Trull); his grandsons, Milas (Emily Trull) and Max Trull; his siblings, Sam Powell and Joan Ensley; his nephew Sammie Powell; his niece Meg Duffy Williamson (family: Jay, Henry, Ruby); and also Tate. He is also survived by his family and friends, and especially his grandsons.
