She was predeceased by: her parents, Ned Caldwell and Josephine Ewart Caldwell; her brother Jack Caldwell; and her nephew Shane Messer. She is survived by: her husband Larry Mitchell; her children, Al Mitchell (Madi), Emily Mitchell and Alissa Mitchell; her grandchildren, Graham, Juliette and Abraham; and her siblings, Ned Caldwell Jr. (Donna), Dale Caldwell (Glenda) and Joann Mathis (Ron).
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Garrett Funeral Home (460 N Main St, Clyde, NC 28721). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations.
