We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2019, at the age of 93, Margie Ganell Brown Whitener (Claremont, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Walter Brown, Sr. and Jennie Ethel Pope Brown; her siblings, Thomas Walter Brown, Jr. (Virginia Brown), Louise Little (Earl William) and Carla Whitener Brown; and her granddaughter Marla Jacquelyn Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Jack Shelton Whitener; her daughter Jill Whitener Brown (Doug); her grandchildren, Shawn R. Brown, Dr. Jessica Mays and Patrick S. Brown (Brittany); her great grandchildren, Jackson R. Brown and Peyton R. Brown; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Sky, Kendall and Cole Hays; and her friend Betty Austin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 3216 W. Main St., Claremont, NC 28610.
