It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ashley Lyerly of Claremont, North Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2022, at the age of 32, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her aunt Mary Lyerly (Pop). She is survived by: her parents, Donald Rex Lyerly and Mellisa "Lisa" Renee Lyerly; her sons, Dequavius Rex Lyerly, Shavar Amari Niles and Jaaziah Jarrel Niles; her siblings, Crystal Lyerly (Didi) of Claremont, Kathy Williams of Shelby, Stephanie Keaton of Hickory and Cameron Thomas of Taylorsville; her grandmother Mildred Lyerly of Claremont; her uncles, David (Rose Poole) and John Barber (Glenn Barber); her aunt Annette (Zachary Frazier); her cousins, Zanaya Thompson of Hickory, Aytala Barber of Newton, Jermichael Watts of Claremont and Lamont Lyerly of Claremont; her close friend Megan Price of Hickory; her godparents, Melisa Smith of Statesville and Gary Barber of Newton; her grandparents, JD Lyerly and Rosa Barber; and her great-grandparents, Mildred Barber, Rose Lyerly and Walter Lyerly. She is also survived by cousins and extended family.
