He is survived by: his wife Teresa Washburn Smith; his sons, Matthew Clinton Smith of Kannapolis, NC and Daniel Ethan Smith (Jenny) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Nolan Smith of Fort Drum, NY and Savi Smith of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Janet Campbell (Robert) of Richfield, NC, Patsy Evans of China Grove, NC and Kearney Smith (Catherine) of Green Mountain, NC.; his mother-in-law Emma Washburn of Eden, NC; and his brother-in-law Wayne Washburn (Amy) of Greensboro, NC. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
