He was predeceased by: his stepmother Pat Pharr Houser; his sisters, Evangeline Houser McMahan, Mary Grace Houser Hull (Lt) and Col C. A. Hull; his parents-in-law, Aldena Parker Ford and Howard Ford; and his son Forest Howard "Frosty" Houser.
He is survived by: his wife Dr. Judith Ford "Judy" Houser; his children, William Todd Houser (Amanda Shelton Houser) and Melanie Houser Gentile (Robert Gentile); his grandchildren, Anna, Shelton Houser, Maria Gentile and Kiersten Houser (Megan Houser); his great grandchild Forest Boone Houser; his siblings-in-law, Susan Ford Heavner (Eddie) and Ed McMahan (Sally McMahan); and his caregiver Nancy Kohli. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends.
