It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Eaker of Cherryville, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on November 30, 2022, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Grady Sellers; her husband Alonzo Allen Eaker; her son-in-law Ronnie Anthony; and her siblings, Marvin Sellers, Ben Sellers, Edith Smith, Bertha Eaker, Jeanette Sellers, Alline Leonhardt, Ophelia Hamrick and Doris Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Eaker (Judie) and Pam Anthony; her sister Shirley Gunn; her grandchildren, Valerie, Dwayne Keefe, Allen, Lisa Eaker, Heidi, Chad Cash, Wes and Angie Anthony; and her great grandchildren, Austin Keefe, Noah, Katie, Sarah Eaker, Alli and Alex Anthony. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
