He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence W. Stroupe and Edna Greene Stroupe; and his siblings, Gary Stroupe and Linda Hastings. He is survived by: his son Tommy Richard Stroupe, Jr. (Christina DiPalo Stroupe) of Leesburg, VA; his sister Patsy Randall of Cherryville; his grandchildren, Tommy Richard Stroupe, III, Audrey Elizabeth Stroupe and Olivia Jean Stroupe; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Stroupe of Lincolnton and Jerry Hastings of Cherryville; and his close friend Sheila Mims of Mt. Holly.
