He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hilton Evans and Adrian Lemons Evans; his son Roger Evans, II; his siblings, Wilburn Evans, Raymond Evans and Joyce Evans; and his great grandchild Alani Furrow.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Moses Evans; his daughter Tracy Lugo (Ben); his stepchildren, Billy Fredell (Gina) of Shelby and Tonyia F. Cannon (John) of Kings Mountain; his siblings, Mary Lee (Don), Juanita Caldwell, Fred Evans (Gail), Randall Evans and Rick Evans (Cheri); his sister-in-law Pat Evans; his grandchildren, Casey Furrow (Josh), Benjamin Lugo (Amber), Britney Evans and Brianna Evans; his stepgrandsons, Josh Bowen (Erika), Jacob Bowen (Catelyn), Will Fredell and Cory Fredell (Courtney); and his great grandchildren, Abram Furrow, Avaleigh Furrow, Asher Furrow, Lyla Lugo, Princeton Lugo, Haislee Bowen, Jackson McDaniel, Braelyn Bowen, Aubree Fredell and Austin Fredell.
