He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wilson Bennett, Jr. and Juanita Huffstetler Bennett Hill; his daughter Allison Lynn Bennett Hovis; his brothers, Michael Jacob Bennett and Robert Eugene Bennett; and his brother-in-law Mutt Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Leatherman Bennett; his sons, Kevin Bennett (Lutricia) of Cherryville, Wesley Bennett (Kristen) of Cherryville and Kyle Bennett of Cherryville; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Bennett, Audrey Bennett, Ragan Lynn Hovis and Margaret "Meg" Jones; his sisters, Sherry Hayes and Mary Anne Bennett Jenkins (T. J.); and his son-in-law Chris Hovis.
