James Maxey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2022, at the age of 83, James Maxey in Cherryville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewitt Clint Maxey and Julia Ellis Maxey; his son John Golden Maxey; his siblings, Clint, Allen Maxey and Lucille Maxey Perry; and his son-in-law Brian Butterfuss.
He is survived by: his wife Bertha Peeler Maxey; his children, Jennings Maxey (Ella) of Spring Hill, FL, Suzanne Maxey Butterfuss of Tomah, WI, David Maxey (Nicole) of Sheridan, WY and Holly Maxey Bell (Donnie) of Cherryville; and his niece Virginia "Jenny" Maxey Murphy. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
