We are sad to announce that on September 24, 2023, at the age of 83, Gwynneth Blackwelder (Cherryville, North Carolina), born in Gaston, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Warren Scism and Neva Howell Scism Hollifield; her husband Joel David "Buggy" Blackwelder; her son William Henry Blackwelder; and her brother Warren Scism.
She is survived by: her children, Joel David Blackwelder, Jr. (Collette) of Cherryville, James Perry Blackwelder of Oconee County, SC and Amy Weidhaas (Jim) of St. Simons Island, GA; her sister Screttia Hartman; her grandchildren, Emily Blackwelder, Annie Blackwelder, Caroline Weidhaas, Matthew Simmons (Lauren) and J. D. Weidhaas; her great grandchildren, Aiden Simmons and River Parris; and her brother-in-law Billy George.
