He was predeceased by: his mother Carole Putnam Fields. He is survived by: his father Brian Fields of Wilmington, NC; his siblings, Kim Bivins (Ray) of Lawndale, Scott Carpenter of Shelby, Deaver Carpenter of Shelby and Chris Carpenter (Shelby) of Kernersville; and his close friend Polly Metcalf.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gaston County Animal Shelter.
