He is survived by: his wife Ruth Downie Trueland; his children, Donald Trueland, Jr. (Katie), Dorothy "Dottie" Boiter (Jerry), Kathy Woody, Margie Trueland and Donna McGourley (William); and his sister Joy Allen.
