He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Lee Leatherman and Junie Elizabeth Conner Leatherman; and his sisters, Helen Hight, Betty Sue Avery and Mary Leatherman.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Taylor Leatherman; his children, Leslie Leatherman Moss (Bill), Lisa Stroup (David) and Carl Leatherman, Jr.; his grandchildren, Taylor Carpenter Weems, Grayson Moss and Austin Moss; his great grandchild Hudson Weems; his sister Martha Duncan; and his pet Molly.
