He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. "Will" Alexander and Ruby Jane Costner Alexander; and his grandson Ned Dellinger. He is survived by: his wife Linda Agner Alexander; his children, Danielle Smith (Robert) of Davidson, Haley Alexander of San Francisco, CA, Travis Dellinger (Betsy) of Cherryville and Alan Dellinger (Emily) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Jack Dellinger, Rowen Dellinger, Reese Dellinger, Ada Smith, Maggie Smith and Joel Smith; his siblings, Gerald Alexander (Bonny) of Cherryville and Melissa Hovis (Bob) of Lincolnton; his aunt Frances Grigg of Shelby; his uncle Joe Alexander (Rachel) of Cherryville; and his nieces, Stacey Pruitt (Bryan), Aleia Watts (Travis) and Anna Goodson (Joe).
