She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Albert Hoyle and Rosie Mae Crotts Hoyle; her son-in-law Larry Cook; and her sisters, Melmer Cook, Beulah Randall and Pauline Bivens.
She is survived by: her husband Claude Edgar Bivens; her children, Sheila Cook of Vale and Rick Bivens (Cynthia) of Blackburn; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Bivens (Kristie), Jennifer Bivens, Chrystal Price (Derek) and Steven Cook; and her half-sister Alice Byrd of Morganton. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
