He is survived by: his son William Johnson, Jr. (Helen Smoker Martin); his brother Cade Johnson; his grandchildren, William H. Johnson III, Virginia Iola Johnson, Gulana Kiamita Johnson and David Tchula Johnson; and his friend Otter Weston McMillan.
