She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Tyler Heath and Virginia Scott Heath; her brothers, George Scott Heath and Wesley Tyler Heath, Jr.; and her granddaughter Keri Privette Wetherington.

She is survived by: her daughters, Virginia Claire Ritter, Deborah Ritter Houston, Catherine Ritter (Kitty) and Polly Ritter Shepherd; her sister Catherine Morrow Heath; her former husband Clarence Monteith Ritter; and her grandchildren, Bradford Tyler Houston, Brent Parker Houston (Danielle), Kristin Privette Byrum (Aaron), Jessica Marie Oglesby and Sarah Michelle Oglesby.
