It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean McClure of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on August 30, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sid Nixon and Florence Nixon; her husband Wayne McClure; her daughters, Kathy Bannister and Sherrie Kidd; her son-in-law Randy Bannister; and her siblings, Marvin Nixon, Boyce Nixon, Margie Robinson and Vivian Kiser.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve McClure (Maria) and Ray McClure (Trena); and her grandchildren, Brandi Risley (Korey), Jason Bannister (Ashley), Christopher McClure, Dustin McClure (Rachael), Jennifer Costanzo (Drew) and Carrie Napolitano. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren as well as many other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery fund or to the Alzheimer's Association.
