He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Herman Moniz and Cecile Marie Moniz; his sister Ann Marie Medeiros; and his son Michael James Moniz. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Ann Brodeur Moniz; his siblings, Lucille Marie Mims, Thomas Anthony Moniz (Anna) and Carol Ann Delage; his son Dr. Richard Joseph Moniz, Jr. (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Christopher James Moniz-Johnson, Kevin Michael Andersson-Johnson, William Jameson Bush and Riley Camryn Bush. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
