She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gault and Agnes Parkinson Gault; her husband Jack L. Shope; her son Larry E. Shope; and her brothers, David and William Gault.
She is survived by: her close friend John Licare; her grandson Laurence C. Shope of Durham, NC; her daughter-in-law Tracy C. Shope Moore (Kevin) of New Bern, NC; and her brother George Gault (Eva) of Australia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.
