She was predeceased by: her husband James Warren Niell; her parents, Moffatt Woodside and Grace Woodside; and her siblings, Harvey Woodside, Kay Dowdell and John Woodside.

She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Niell and Beth Niell Smith (Chet); her grandchildren, Clay Niell, Jay Niell (Katie), Cas Smith and Hiatt Smith Fields (Derek); and her great grandchildren, Charli, Addie Niell, EJ, Norah, Isaac and Marlee Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Steele Creek at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church or Charlotte Rescue Mission, PO Box 33000, Charlotte, NC 28233.
