It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Linburgh Johnston Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Linburg Johnson and Agnes Sanders Johnson; and his son Dion Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Mobley Johnson; his children, Jennifer Forney Johnson (Clarence), Drellco Lamont Hunter, Benjamin Ham II and Robert Antonio Miles; his grandchildren, Kennon Cofield, Diaun Zaki'Cofield, Jonas Davis, Javarrie Johnson and Jay'Ceon Pendergrass; his sister Bertha Moore of Charlotte, NC; his sisters-in-law, Lashawn Martin (Bobby) of Concord, NC and Michelle Waymyers of Charlotte, NC; his aunt Mary Pless of Lowesville, NC.; his nephew Darren Moore; and his friend Douglas Ross. He is also survived by nieces, cousins, and friends.
