He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sloan and Odella McLeod Sloan; and his sister Christine Sloan Bryant. He is survived by: his son Shawn Alexander Sloan; his wife Myrtle Hamlin Sloan; his daughter Alicia Parker-Matthews; his granddaughter Faith Aliciá Parker (Skilar); and his sister Bernice Sloan Ferguson of Charlotte.
Even Parkinson's Disease couldn't take away the joy of life God had given him.
