She was predeceased by: her parents, John T. Johnson, Jr. and Pearl Allmond Johnson; and her former husband Harold Eugene Gibson. She is survived by: her husband Stephen Stoddard of Chapel Hill; her daughters, Deborah Gibson Willingham (Terry) of San Angelo, TX and Angela Stoddard Funkhouser (Joe) of Bunker Hill; her siblings, James M. Johnson (Ruth) of Barnwell, SC, Roger Johnson (Joyce) of Garfield, Juanita Sikes of Garfield, Martha Peacock (Bobby) of Twin City and Linda Nash (Terry) of Goodland, KS; and her granddaughters, Lacey Scorgie (Alex) of Princeton, TX and Beth Anne Cantrell (Danny) of Martinsburg, WV. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
