We are sad to announce that on June 28, 2021, at the age of 80, Thomas Dewey Mooring Jr. formerly of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, born in Lenoir, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Dewey Mooring, Sr. and Hazel Croom Mooring. He is survived by: his wife Martha Garris Mooring; his children, Erwin Stokes Blanchard (Whit), Ransom Garris Stokes (Lillian), Thomas Dewey Mooring, III (Robyn) and Margaret Mooring Cottle (Chris); his grandchildren, Thomas Dewey Uzzell (Tee), Dare Uzzell, Garris Stokes, Mary Martha Stokes, Tyler Mooring, Alex Mooring, Jack Evans, Anna Evans, Paige Bussolati, Jakob Bussolati, Madison Cottle and Colt Cottle; and his brother Ronald Edward Mooring (Mary).

At the family's request, contributions in his memory may be made to the Lenoir County Historical Association.
