With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Lynn Cox of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, who passed away on August 26, 2021 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Lynn Cox to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin F. Blakewood and Bronda Blakewood. She is survived by: her significant other Dr. Mason O. Cox, Jr.; her sons, Mason O. Cox III (Jennifer) and Jeffrey Blake Cox; her grandchildren, Mary Lynn, Mason IV, MacKenzie and Mary Scott; her son Jeffery B. Cox (Julie); her grandchildren, Joseph, Hunter, Pearson, Caroline and Nathan; and her brothers, Ben Blakewood (Marsha) and David Blakewood (Lisa).

A small family service will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, Morehead City, NC and attendees will be strictly limited to family members in lieu of COVID-19 precautions.
