John Ware Weathers Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Ware Weathers (Chapel Hill, North Carolina), who passed away on February 13, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Flay Weathers, Jr. and Annabel Ware Weathers; and his foster son Thant Sin. He is survived by: his wife Janie Benson of Chapel Hill; his sons, Andrew Weathers (Gretchen Korsmo) of Littlefield and Scott Weathers (Mikaela Saccoccio) of Stowe, Vermont.; his stepmother Ruth S. Weathers of Forest City, NC; and his siblings, James F. Weathers III and Elizabeth W. Harrill of Forest City. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Thant Sin Scholarship Fund at Alamance Community College, using one of the three options: Mail a contribution to: Thant Sin Scholarship Fund c/o The ACC Foundation Post Office Box 8000 Graham, NC 27253.
