She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Giles Horney and Harriet Horney; her husband Andrew "Drew" Melvin; her children, Lillian Whichard (John) and Andy Melvin; her grandchildren, Christopher (Michayla), Baird, Ainsley and Austin; her great grandchild Lucas; and her sister Jane Davis (Jim).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas More Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
