He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Anne Watson of Uniontown, PA; his brother Charles Kennon Strowd; his sons, Carl (Isabel), Alan (Karla), Richard (Cindy) and Tom (Patsy); and his grandchildren, Tim Strowd, Joseph, Elizabeth Strowd, Tony and Samantha Strowd.
The family is requesting no flowers. Contributions in Elvin's honor may be made to the Duke University Perkins Library or the Durham Savoyards organization in Durham, NC.
