With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Edward Mauer of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, born in Hamden, New York, who passed away on September 11, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin George and Gertrude Bailey Mauer (Gert); his wife Glenda Yow; his grandson Joshua Binder; and his brother David Mauer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Campbell (Andy) of Chapel Hill and Brenda Meriwether (Scott) of Oxford; his grandson Jonathon Charles Binder (Alexandra) of Mebane; his great grandchild Samantha; and his siblings, Shirley Maddry (John) of Chapel Hill and Richard Mauer of Alaska. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
