He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hoff Rice, Jr. and Myrtle Unruh Rice of Virginia. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lee Rice; and his children, Kimberly Kerr Rice (Ron Argo), Wendy Lee Curley (Richard), Sarah Patricia Rice, Walter Hoff Rice, IV (Susan), Kevin Matthew Rice, Shaun Coulter-Browning (Randy), Christopher George Rice and James Story Rice (Tara). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
