With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Oneida Mason of Canton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 15, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Hoyt Mason; her parents, Leland Austin and Grace Austin; and her siblings, Larry Austin, Mickey Austin and Ann Childers.

She is survived by: her children, Rick Mason (Jessica) of Knoxville, TN, Randy Mason (Cammy) of Waynesville, Pam Reece (Butch) of Canton and Tina Tuten (Galen) of Canton; her grandchildren, David Smith of Canton, Keil Smith (Emilina) of Asheville, Amber Golden (Matt) of Canton, Savanna Mason of Charlotte and Trenton Mason of Asheville; her stepgrandchildren, Melissa Chambers (Cody) of Asheville, Morgan Tuten (Jesse) of Canton, Matthew Tuten (Lauren) of Clyde, Jay Schreiber of Waynesville and Annika Schreiber of Waynesville; her great grandchildren, Harper, Abel Golden, Belle, Leland Smith, Sheldon Denton, Ari Camacho and Jordan Chambers; and her brother Raydean Austin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
