He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Stamey and Vertie Sutton Stamey; his brother Michael Stamey; and his nephew Adam Stamey. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bayne Stamey; his sons, Ron Stamey (Adriana) of Fairview and Derrick Stamey (Zuri) of Mooresville; his brother Steve Stamey of Hiawassee, Georgia; his grandchildren, Dr. Jordan Caroline Stamey, Katherine Elizabeth Stamey, Noah Stamey, Ella Stamey, Alexa Jaimez and Adrian Jaimes; and his cousin Stan Reece.
