He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Warner Green and Carl Green; his wife Nancy Welch Green; his daughter Jennifer Ann Green; and his siblings, Sonny, Curtis, William "Doug" Green and JoAnne Green Rogers.

He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Cindy Green Farrell (Chris Farrell) of Raleigh, NC; and his sister Vida Lee Green Howell of Salvisa, Kentucky..
