She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Leatherwood and Mary Jane Price Leatherwood; her husband Jack Brookshire; her daughters, Lynn and Gwen Brookshire; her siblings, R. J. Conard and Ruth Ledford; and her grandson Ethan Gentry.
She is survived by: her children, Angie Stanford, David Brookshire (Amanda) of Canton, Roger Brookshire (Pam) of Canton and Carroll Brookshire (Whitney) of Canton; her stepson Jackie Brookshire (Starla) of Missouri; her brother William David Conard (Lydia) of Canton; and her sister-in-law Vivian Conard. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Wearing of masks and social distancing will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Burnette Cove Baptist Church, 153 Burnette Cove Road, Canton, NC 28716.
