He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Joyner and Rosa Joyner. He is survived by: his wife Ida Christine Joyner; and his children, Janice Panza (Bill) of New Bern, Nancy Joyner of Weaverville, Rachel Burnette (Ben) of Marshall and Robert Joyner (Kody) of Candler. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, gifts of remembrance may be made to the Candler Church.
