We are sad to announce that on January 31, 2022, at the age of 82, William Duane McClure of Cameron, North Carolina, born in Rock Island, Illinois passed away. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McClure and Lucille McClure; and his wife Lois Boles McClure. He is survived by: his sons, Rex McClure (Kelly) of Tennessee, Rev. Todd McClure (Kelly) of Virginia and Paul McClure (Britt) of North Carolina; and his siblings, Cheryl Byers of Oklahoma and John Pepke of Illinois. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.

“I was very sad to hear of the passing of Mr McClure. He bought eggs from us for years and I really enjoyed his weekly stops by the house. We we talk of random things, family, government, whatever. He would tell me stories of his time in the Azors and Army. He was a wise man and his weekly stops always brightened my day. He will be greatly missed. I am happy that he will once again be back with his wife. Eric, Dina, Zachary and Christian”
