He is survived by: his children, Karen McDowell of Riverside and Darrin Byrd (Jane) of Pensacola; his granddaughter Casey Fox (Adam) of South Toe; his stepgrandson Kelly Carroll (Shelly) of Pensacola; his great grandchildren, Huntley, Hartlyn Fox, Payce and Caden Carroll; his brother Mike Byrd (Lynn) of Micaville; his sister-in-law Jean Campbell (Roger) of Micaville; his nephew Jeff Whitson (Lisa) of Riverside; his pets, Sophie and Miss Kitty; and his close friends, Jim, Kenneth, Ralph and Scrub.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Yancey Funeral Service (378 Charlie Brown Rd, Burnsville, NC 28714). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
