It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Renfro (Burnsville, North Carolina), born in Madison, North Carolina, who passed away on May 7, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh McIntosh and Tabitha Southerland McIntosh; her husband Robert Renfro; and her siblings, Ralph, Frank, Roy, Max McIntosh, Irene Fox, Beatrice Maney, Ruby McIntosh and Bonnie McIntosh.
She is survived by: her children, Marcella Peterson (Terry) of Burnsville and Bobby Renfro (Liz) of Tipton Hill; her grandchildren, Chelsey Whitfield (Joshua) of Unicoi, TN and Heath Renfro (Rebekah) of Tipton Hill; her great grandchildren, Colson Whitfield and Ellie Whitfield; her nieces, Diane Hughes and Donna Renfro; her nephew Mike Renfro; and her close friend Jean Laws. She is also survived by Several other nieces, nephews and friends.
