He is survived by: his wife Rachel Griggs; his sons, Ronnie Griggs (Donna) of Bryson City and Ricky Griggs (Ruthie) of Bryson City; his grandchildren, Brett Raines, Renee Griggs, Rebekah Griggs, Stacey Griggs, Ronnie Griggs, Randell Griggs and Nolan Griggs; his brother Junior Griggs; and his grandsons, John Cooper, Chris Cooper, Mitchell Cooper and David King. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
