She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Edward and Nancy Pauline Byrd; and her siblings, Francis Coggins, Ruby Jean Byrd and Richard Byrd.
She is survived by: her husband Tom Shipman; her sons, Mark Cook, Kevin Cook and Keith Cook; her daughters-in-law, Amy Cook, Susan Cook and Lisa Cook; her grandchildren, Ryan, Heather, Carolyn, April, Dawson and McKenzie Cook; her stepgrandchildren, Lorlalei, Caroline McSweeny, Nikki Warren, Jaime Perkins, Karla Fisher, Aaron Hughes, Johnathon Hughes and Madison Hughes; her great grandchild Emily Rose Cook; her sisters, Peggy Sherrill and Pat Frady; her daughters, Emily and Sarah Shipman; her stepchildren, John Hughes, Carolyn Lossiah, Larry Hughes and Mike Hughes; and also, John Cook, Reetha Orr, Pat, Barb, Tina Royster and Bill Shipman (Stephanie).
