He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Laws and Bana Howard Laws; and his brother Jack Laws. He is survived by: his children, Michael Laws (Robin) and Melinda Kirkland (Dewayne); his grandchildren, Mikel Laws, Emily Laws Smith, Amanda Hyde and Brittany Kirkland; and his siblings, Patricia Suttles, Charlottee Lineberry, Rachel Reagan and Lowell Laws. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
