He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walter and Margaret Louise Moore Simonds; his nephew David Michael Simonds; and his grandparents, Bill, Alice Moore, Grover and Catherine Simonds.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Simonds; his children, Kristi Watty (Stephen), Christy Martin (Daryl), Patrick Kirkland (Amanda) and Sarah Kirkland; his sister Marilee Myer (Ray); his stepmother Jennie Simonds; his brother David Larry Simonds (Anna); and his uncle John Simonds. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
