She was predeceased by: her parents, Mann Bowers and Vonnie Bowers; and her husband Ted Thomas. She is survived by: her sons, Joe Thomas (Dana) and Ben Thomas (Laura); her stepson Mike Thomas (Stefanie); and her brother Drake Bowers (Ann).

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Grace Christian Academy at 498 Arlington Avenue, Bryson City, NC 28713.
