It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Astrid Powell (Bryson City, North Carolina), who passed away on November 5, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Powell and Virginia Powell; and her siblings, Kelley Ann Quinn Powell, Brian Powell and John Powell.
She is survived by: her daughter Carrie; her siblings, Matthew L. Powell, Susanne M. B. Powell, Shayne Powell Flemming, Bonnie Powell Carver, Kathleen Patricia Douglas, William Powell and Kristi Powell; her niece Abigail Powell; and her nephews, Matthew Powell and Henry Powell. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
She will be fondly remembered for her immense contributions to the field of athletic training and her unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of those around her.
