She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford Avery and Vicey Parker; her grandson Isaac Stephenson; and her siblings, James, Arthur, Glenn, Ralph Parker, Margie Black and Shirley Pearson.

She is survived by: her daughter Tina Royster Jeffery (Burke); and her sister-in-law Genevieve Lindsay (Phillip). She is also survived by five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
